FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...

Q.       I would like to start a new Chapter but we don’t have enough people to fill the required offices, can I still start a Chapter?

A.       Absolutely yes! Some officers may have double duties until such a time where there are enough members to fill all the positions.

Q.      What is the financial responsibility to the members or to the Church?

A.       None! It is recommended for each Chapter to have a $1.00 donation before there rides. This money is used for any overhead and expenses. Some Chapters even do fund raisers for their Chapters and or their ministry projects.

Q.        Some of the people who will ride with us are not Methodist, is this a  problem?

A.       No, you do not have to be a member of the Methodist Church or any Church for that matter to be a member of the UMME. You do however have to be a member of the United Methodist Church in order to hold an office.

Q.      Rides must be lead by a Road Captain and our start up Chapter does not have members who qualify, who leads our rides?

A.      Basically you can have temporary Road Captains until you obtain  members with the qualifications.

Q.     Some of our members will have spouses who do not ride, but wish to follow in their car is this permissible?

      A.   Absolutely! It can even be to your benefit if a bike breaks

down. If  they enjoy Christian fellowship they are in the right
             place!
